{insta}Life Lately

Almost through the hectic months.  Half the birthdays are done.  One conference down, one to go.  I can do this.  Thought I'd give an update of the past month with some {a lot} of instagram photos.  

We traded some cupcakes for chickens.  Two dozen cupcakes = 4 new chickens.  :)  The old ladies aren't getting along too well with the new younger girls.  Ughh.  {Somehow I haven't taken any pictures of the new chickens ??}  

This is what happens when I'm trying to work from home.  I work.  They get into mama's stuff.

Went to a bridal shower for a lovely bride-to-be and I tried to be all crafty with my gift wrapping so Cait {who went in on the gift with me} would be impressed.  ;)

Had a lovely Mother's Day with cute cards & gifts.

We had a lot of doctors appointments that week and he ended up having a CAT scan done too.    Thankfully, they found an antibiotic that seems to be taking care of it.

Child labor - my boys think it's fun to do some of my conference work - like helping with name tags!  I'll take it while I can...in a few more years they'll figure it out and start demanding pay.  

My baby turned two!  Our birthday tradition is to put balloons in the boy's rooms for them to wake up to and then have a dance party to this song.

Levi got this slide & mini pool for his birthday and his big brothers were very anxious to try it out.  So far, Levi won't get in it.  

Pizza date night with my love.  This is the only food Mike loves - from this particular pizza place {Pizza Shack}...although the one he liked best closed down.

We spent part of Memorial weekend at the lake - my 2nd in-laws have a golf cart and the boys just love riding on it {so does Cait - ha!}

So there's a glimpse of my May.  {Minus all the boring work stuff}.  Hopefully as this craziness subsides, I'll be around here a bit more.  And hopefully I'll have Levi's birthday party pictures up very soon - I think this was one of my favorite parties.

My Style :: Yet Another Vintage House Dress

Shew...I made it through last week.  It was so out of control busy I thought I might lose my mind.  And now I've just got about a month left of this craziness and I can crash.  {Does a mama of three little boys ever get to crash?  Doubt it - but I like to pretend that if I can push myself and make it through, I'll get days of just lounging around with nothing to do...ha!}

One of my favorite days of the week is Monday.  I know - not a normal favorite day for most.  Monday is my "work" day - I'm out of the house for most of the day, hanging out with adults.  Since I only have to do this one day a week, it's enjoyable.  My favorite part of the day though is getting a lunch date with my love.  He's usually working at the church on Mondays so we get to eat lunch together.  Alone.  With no kids yelling, with no food to cut into tiny little pieces, with no little pieces of food flinging through the air.  And sometimes on these lunch dates I make Mike take pictures of me.  What could be more fun, right love?
I got this lovely little vintage house dress at Goodwill on our Girls Getaway weekend!  And I just absolutely love it - it's quickly become one of my favorites.  I love the colors and print.  And with a pocket and buttons and a $1.50 price tag, what's not to love?!

Ten on Ten :: May

I wasn't sure I would do Ten on Ten this month.  I have a big work conference tonight and all day tomorrow.  And a lot of baking to do.  But then I thought maybe I could use this as my stress reliever.  When I get overwhelmed by my projects - I can snap a photo & upload it.  But please forgive me if I don't make it to ten.

Little Fashion :: Lincoln's Style

Do you ever try to picture what your kids {or someone else's kids...ha!} will look like when they're teenagers or adults?  I sometimes try to picture what my boys will look like.  Me?  Mike?  My brother?  The boys all seem to have a strong resemblance to me.  Since Linc was a wee one, everyone has said that he looks so much like my brother {even people that didn't know Craig as a little boy.  And I think Craig & I look a lot alike - 'cept for the whole beard thing he's got going on :)...so that makes sense - Linc looks like a boy version of me, which is Craig}.  I was hoping that maybe as Linc got older though that he would start looking more like Mike {I just want a mini Mike!}, but after looking through these photos that Cait took, I'm thinking he's definitely a mini me {or mini Craig}.  Ah well - he's cute, we'll keep him.  And maybe one of the other two will look more like Mike.

My blogging is going to be few & far between over the next few weeks.  May & June are my super busy months with work, family birthdays, holidays {Mother's & Father's Day, Memorial Day}, a wedding {that Malacai is in!!}...
